The NAKF and NECKC are sister organizations headed by Shihan Kazumi Tabata.
The North American Karate-Do Federation Schools
Open to all skill levels and ages, the NAKF schools provide everyone with the education they seek in the martial arts. Classes are generally well balanced between kihon, kumite, and kata, with a little karate history and philosophy thrown in to round out the education. Membership in the schools is on a month to month basis, and dues are generally very reasonable. NECKC students may also join in training at the NAKF schools. Promotion tests are held twice a year at either an NAKF school or an NECKC school, and are open to all members of the NAKF and NECKC.
Instructors of the NAKF schools have all been trained and certified by Shihan Kazumi Tabata, 8th dan.
Current member schools in the NAKF include:

The New England Collegiate Karate Conference
A sister organization to the NAKF, the NECKC is open to current college students and alumni, in accordance with the membership guidelines of the hosting college or university. Many members of the NAKF get their start in the NECKC, and transfer their membership to the NAKF upon graduation from their college or university. While dues for participation in the NECKC classes are collected at the beginning of the semester, they generally cover instruction for the entire school semester. In addition, the NECKC hosts two open tournaments per year, one in the spring and one in the fall semesters. Promotion tests for all levels below shodan are held at the individual schools.
Instructors of the NAKF schools have all been trained and certified by Shihan Kazumi Tabata, 8th dan.
